Hospice Northumberland is proud to recognize
Suzanne Grew Ellis
as the recipient of the June Callwood Award for 2009. June Callwood was a long-time advocate of the work of Hospice and a passionate force in supporting anyone in need of help.
Suzanne Grew Ellis has been a volunteer with Hospice
Northumberland since 1994. Suzanne was a member of the
organization’s first training course, and has continued in her
client work to this day. As well, she has held various positions
on the Board, various committees and is a donor. Suzanne is our
only Honorary Lifetime Board Director..
Suzanne brings compassion to her work, a drive for excellence, and a
spirit of giving that has always benefited those around her. She is
well-deserving of the respect of her peers. While she will be the
first to say that she gets more from her clients than they receive,
the rewards of the relationship are shared two-way.
